Default Shimano TR Reels..

Cabelas is having a sale on these reels...the TR 100 and the TR 200. Either one for 59.99.

Anyone use them?? I am looking for a multi-purpose reel for Cobia, Drum, wreck fishing etc. and perhaps light duty trolling for stripers.

I currently use Penn GTI's and I'd like to add a pair of reels for the coming season, but I'm a bit strapped for cash. It's hard to say from the foto, but are they about the same as the GTI2??

check out the calcutta 400 upgrade post. the carbon fiber drags used for the calcutta are the same ones used in the tr 100/200's.

Thanks I'll do that. I ended up buying a pair of TLD25's. I was looking for something about that size when I ran across the TR's. I'd never seen one but I thought that a shimano for 60 bucks was a good deal.

I'll do a search and see what to do to my TLD's when they show up. Thanks.

I use the TR200's on my Bait Pro sabiki rods. Bought them for $59.00 also. They work fine.
