Default Tuna permit

I'm going to fish for tuna in the mid-Atlantic. What type of permit do I need and where can I get it? Strictly rec fishing. Thanks

Don't buy until they change the year to 2006, though. If you buy now I believe it ends June 1 and then the new fishing year starts.

My tuna permit was for a boat I sold last year. There's a month to go on the best part of our tuna season. Hate to miss it. Can I get it transfered over to the new boat? Anyone know the answer?

Buy a permit now for your new boat, as permits currently issued by the system are valid from the date issued through May 31, 2007.

don't be so tight hal, just by a new one. the wind has had us all messed up around OI. I heard that the hatteras fleet got out today and nailed the tuna.
