Default Okuma T-50W Graphite Lever Drag

Any opinions on this reel?

Its very cheap for a 50. Like 140 bucks.
Seems too cheap to be good quality.

okumas have bad corrosion issues. if literally taking apart and cleaning the reel and regreasing it every time out is not an issue with you then it would make a decent reel otherwise spend a little bit more and buy a daiwa.

Unless you are going after monster tuna, get some TLD 25's. Tuna's are great fun on lighter tackle and the 25's can handle it.

I got a new diawa SLD 30, much meatier than the TLD 25, so thats a nice setup, however, I do want another bigger st-up to pull my spreader bars. and just in case we hook a biggin, it would be nice to have the line capacity and high lb. test.
The next step up in Okumas are well priced campared to penns and the like, but still lots of $$. So I'm still shopping.

Thanks for all the replies, keep em coming...

I think all are in agreement, I talked to some sharpies I know here at home and they also think it will fry with one nice tuna.

The higher ends Okumas (gold series)are reported to be very good quality.
I will keep shopping , Thanks......
