Default Own boat?

Im just wondering... how many of you guys have your own boat? Ive been thinking of getting my own, what are the advantages/disadvantages, etc.

On a boating site? This seems like a rather strange question. I imagine pretty much all of us own boats. As for advantages , depends what you intend to do in your boat .disadvantages, are few except for maybe cost+losing time away from family and work. welcome to THT.

after 12 years of owning of my old boat, i had the TOTAL expenses down to about $300 per trip. now with the new one, i'm, figuring i may eventually be able to work it down to about double or triple that amount. that figures in the total cost of boat ownership, not just the cost of gas, ice and bait for the day. it's like they say in the jewelry store. if you have to ask, you probably can't afford it. good luck and welcome to tht!
