They look pretty long, but are about an inch longer than stock...

The 30's have a good handle blank (arm) that I usually remove from the reel and drill out and put on the new T-bar. I like the molded as well as the silver or gold anodized T-bar..

Here is the pic of the stock Shimano T-bar. It is a TT693 and I sell them for $47 + shipping. It fits Tiagra 30's and TLD 50's

Also showing some other options for the 30's

Again, I like using the stock blank. But I do carry this black anodized arm that I can make up with the molded knobs shown with the TLD25's on the first page or with these three anodized T-bars..these T-bars are $24.95. The arm is an additional $10

Finally got around to getting all my TLD handles upgraded for dolphin season. I bought the Shimano T bars for my 50's and the egg shaped ones for 30's. Rick was awesome. Good peeps! Saved me a few bucks knowing tiagra fits the 50s. And cheaper than anything I could find online shipped to the door. Thanks Rick!!

The longer t bar handle on the TLD 20 or 25 is a no brained. I was going to get rid of a 20 plus year old TLD 20 but decided to have rick service the reel and put the handle on it. What a difference!! I had so much fun with that rod/reel mahi fishing this summer!

Hmmm... I may do this with my 25's. How much to service them and install the longer handle on 3 of them? I also need a reel seat clamp for an Okuma Convector 55 if you have one.

What is the difference between the Shimano tt703 or the tt693. If I have some tld50lrs that I want to upgrade to the newer style handle like the lrsa have what would I need to order and what would the cost be.

I put the T-Bar lites on my 20 & 25s. Makes a huge difference over those short stubby handles with the dinky knobs.

The difference is the size of the hole to mount to the driveshaft or stem..

Chad and I went through all this with his TLD50's. I was always under the impression the TT703 was the right handle, but it takes the TT693. That handle will fit all the older Tiagra 30's as well for anyone wanting to upgrade...

The handle for the newer TLD50's is the TT695, and it retails for $64. That is $18 more thant the 693 and they are almost identical..

I sell the ones for your 50's for $47 and a flat rate box is $7. I can get four handles in one..

I have a couple of tld 25's that I won on a giveaway last year on this site. used them once trolli ng mojo's last fall.

Probably will use them this year on a buddies boat so I should get the upgraded handles.

Should I deal with the drags now or wait a bit and just put on the handles

Thanks

The stock drags in 20/25's are really not that bad. You wont get more drag tension with carbon-tex, but you will get smoother, more consistent drags..IMHO..

Let me know about the handles. That setup on the first page is $29.95 and work very well for 25's

Damn you, man - I'm trying to not spend more $$, but these look too good . I've got a pair of TLD 25's that I will likely order the molded handles & arm for soon. Just need to get my electronics upgrade in motion first...

These wouldn't be so popular if Shimano had put a proper arm on those reels..

The stock arm is ridiculously short..and those little plastic knobs dont work that well.
