Default Punta Gorda Fishing in July

I have a chance to get a time share in Punta Gorda mid July. Are the Tarpon all gone by then? How is the fishing in this area at that time of year.

Yes, tarpon in BG pass are basically gone by then, but there are still a few leftover tarpon in the harbor, but you will need a guide to find them - trying it on your own will be a challenge. It's hotter n' heck here in July, but a Key West 18 is a good boat for the harbor. If you have not been to Cabbage Key or other areas, ask for their locations when you arrive. Questions?

Concur with First Light. If bringing your own boat, I also recommend you get a chart of the area before you come down and memorize it. There is a lot of shallow water, particularly in the south end of Char. Harbor as you get near Bokeelia and the Cabbage Key area.
