Inshore fishing has been crazy good here with lots of big school of sardines running up and down the coast pulling all the fish out of their caves and rivers. Check out this huge BroomTail Grouper from last week:

In addition to the gruoper, there have been lots of snook around lately too inshore:

And of course there are always roosterfish around

Offshore has finally started picking up again for the season. The offshore was a bit slower after the hurricane in November, but finally yesterday we started seeing good fish again. Yesterday Junior released a pair of nice Marlin, 6 dorado and 2 yellow fin tuna.

the Hooker (G&S) is in marina pez vela, not sure if it available for public charter
to be a legal charter boat here in CR means it must be Costa Rican flagged, which is a whole mess of legal work if the boat is not made here, it means removing it from forgein registry, paying import duty of 33% the value of the vessel, registering it here, and jumping through hoops for a business license, tax reporting inspections etc
not saying people don't charter their boats illegally,I know of plenty that do
