You don't know how much I wish I would have gotten you to install the new handles. What a pain that is.

Rick, I have an Avet TRX50W that has always had a "quiet" clicker. Is it possible to install one that is louder than the factory edition?

Finally got to fish the Avet's our fishing team sent to you a few months back. I swear they were nicer than a brand new out of the box avet reel. They were the 8 blue kingfish reels. Drags were amazing with your mod! Clickers sound louder than my avet 50trx!

The design is such that they tend to be quiet. New parts dont always get them much better.

If the factory used a little too much grease on the clicker plate, than that is an easy fix that will be done when the reel is here for a service...

For some reels, the handle replacement can be a hassle..

I have always installed new handles for free if I have a reel in here for a service.

Thanks to all for the positive comments!

Rick does all mine. He is an expert, communicates well, is fairly priced, and does excellent work. What else can one expect? Thanks to Rick.

Not sure if you have the old model or not, but they suck. Even after new parts you can barely hear em. The line "cracking" is louder than them.

I "winterize" my reels in the summer. Winter is fishing season for me. But when I do "winterize" Rick does the work.

What's the deal with the clickers on Avets? I just bought four 30EX's and I have to mess with the clickers to get them to engage on a couple of them. As in move the lever back and forth a couple of times before they'll work. Other than that, they're solid, but this is kind of annoying on a brand new reel.

Rumor has it that his dog Sweetie Pie actually does all the work. Rick is just a figurehead.

That's probably from grease. I have other Avet's that aren't the old trxw and they work fine.

Ricks the man. No doubt. Sent him a oddball diawa lever drag. He put alot
of time in it but it was beyond help. No charge for the work including the parts he had to special order for it. Told me if he couldnt fix it he wasnt gonna charge me. Dont see much of that any more these days. Told him to keep the thing for parts and will be sending any other of my stuff that needs work to him.
