Good luck man. I'm hearing of a few tunas getting pulled off of shrimp boats. Certainly seen a few in the right depths in cleanish green water.

Leaving fairhope in 2 hours and running the boat to venice to pick up some guys and fuel up. Spending the next 4 days at port eads. Will be in a white 34 Mirage CC.

Well as the saying goes, it was fishing and not catching for us. I think we pitched jigs and livies at every rig in the Delta and couldn't buy a Cobia bite, had a few around the boat at the first two rigs but they had some fierce bad lock jaw. Worked our way to 250' of water and hoping to pick some scamps off the bottom but the red snapper and sharks weren't having it, I don't remember a day when sharks were so bad.

Ending up boxing some biggish Beeliners and one Almaco jack, and let my 12 yo play with the overly abundant Fat Alberts while staying thankful I wasn't in the weather I could see offshore. Member Twinvee 26 came by and said hello, and told me all about his great luck at the tuna grounds

On a really positive note my recently purchased 2016 Silverado turned out to be a very positive upgrade over the 2009 I had before in towing capability and comfort.

Our success on tuna was very limited mostly due to the very large thunderstorm referenced above! We did get the poles bent on some Amberjack, sharks, and Bonito while running from / through the storm though..... All in all a good time had by all in our crew.

I passed you near Port Eads around 3:30 Saturday afternoon. I was wondering if ya'll were headed out in that weather. We hunkered down next to a rig when the first storm blew through around lunch. Which ended up being the wrong decision. The storm was pretty bad, and once it cleared up there was another one right behind it. So we headed in.

I do remember passing a contender.
We were just going to unload at Eads and spend the afternoon rigging baits and tackle.
Caught a few small yellowfin but had a great time.
