Default Marking your line

I am looking for ideas how everyone marks certain distances on their mono. A couple of the ideas I have received so far are:

magic marker
crimp a single barrrel sleeve
slide a piece of hollow core spectra then floss and glue
wind-on swivel

any others?

Wahookings method works great. I mark my sword lines that way. Only porblem is getting the dang marks off when you lose a bit of line and have to remark. Takes some patience with a sharp knife.
