Default PCB Straight to the Rigs! BFT and YFT

Left out of Panama City Beach for a long haul trip to the Oil Rigs.

Did this trip a week ago tomorrow and had a blast!

Here's a few photos!

Hope you enjoy we sure did.

Made the trip on a 30' Sea Hunt.

Beat me to it. I hope this thread doesn't go the way of that one.

Nice catch. I'm sure it was a blast.

Nice catch. Did the same trip about a week ago with similar results. It looks like Petronius and the semi-submersible Sevan Louisiana near the Marlin rig.

About 320 miles round trip on a 30' Sea Hunt with a buddy of mine.

Well the question will be asked, did you really need to keep 30 or so fish. If you did then please keep the pictures to yourself, do a search, gluttony is not a good thing in these days of diminishing fishing days for the recreational angler.

Dude went on a 320 mile boat ride. I think he earned his little mess of tuna. Just my opinion.

Look man before you go making assumptions why don't you ask how many went on the boat with us?

Why don't you ask how many families we just fed and gave Christmas gifts?

And for the record it was 31 + A YFT

I think he was trying to give you a heads-up on what response might be if posted in the GC section. It stems from a post of some guys bringing in nearly one-hundred BFT's at a time.

I understand that but, is my catch in the same category as (96)?

We also have our permit required for rec anglers HMS (20 bucks)

We caught a 1/3rd of that and we quit and started targeting YFT

We got out there at dark 30 and stopped at 24 or 25

The next day we got pulled hooks everywhere on YFT so we caught a few more BFT's so we could have a good catch for the trip.

We in NO Way abused this species and if we wanted we could have caught 150 or 200 the way they were blowing up.

It was 10 per person plus 1 and a YFT

I simply take mild offense to a guy implying that we did something that we should be ashamed of instead of happy about.

Geez. We were out there for 28 hours and I do not believe for a second that we in any way were not practicing good conservation

Not one piece was frozen

Takes all kinds I guess.

I'm at peace about the catch and we made our close friends and family happy to have fresh fish and none went to waste.

Don't worry about the jealousy! You did good and BFT are not in short supply anywhere.
