Default Custom Rods

I am thinking about having some custom rods made for my boats. I need some referrals to artisans who won't break that bank! Haha! Thanks in advance!

I have rods this guy made over 20 years ago he is a one man band a true artist and only makes amazing things that won't break the bank, I know thats kinda an oxymoron but its true the guy does it as a hobby not a business true love of the art.

Why the love for Connley?

Take one out in the sun and inspect it. Everything fits. The guides line up. There isn't a bunch of glue or epoxy smeared on the blank. The wraps are tight. There are no rattles or loose parts. It is evident that Connely takes craftsmanship seriously.

I own two set of rods build by Connely. They have are wrapped with a design unique to my boat and each set of rods is identical. When new I couldn't tell one from the other.

The guys in the shop answer the phone. When asked they answer questions and make suggestions based on the intended use.

Recently I had a set built that got delayed. The shop overnighted the rods c/o one of the ferries to North Cap just so I would have them for the trip. When I opened the tube, I found a set of Connely's pliers as "a hey thanks for the purchase."

In short, I told the shop what blanks and components I wanted and how I intended to use the rods. The shop delivered. Class act.
