The Rapala X-Rap Magnum 30 is one of our most productive lures.

I use either the 30ft X-Rap Magnum Redhead or the Hot Head together with the Fire Tiger, both without any weights and two octopus on both sides on the surface.
The Fire Tiger X-Rap Magnum catched 5 Spanish Mackarels and 8 Jacks while we got no bites on the other lures and it is every time the same, the Fire Tiger works much better.
Trolling speed was 8-12 knots and water was green.
It is my personal belief that the X-Rap Magnum 30ft is a excellent lure for fast trolling.
Other colors may work better in other colored waters.

Really? Mine must be unlucky too, what have you caught on them recently?

Manns stretch 30 catches wahoo. Usually troll @ 7 knots. Color looks like a Mahi. Had to beef up the hooks after 2 or 3 fish. Doubt it's running 30 feet though.

Bombers dive charts shows some impressive depths on 50# spectra.

I cant say they get that deep but I lost one in the keys in in 27ft and was not running it very far back.

Those bombers will dive. We have used them grouper trolling and can bounce bottom in 35' if we have too much line out.

Me too. I have caught several wahoo on the red head and white Rapalas, but for some reason the normal purple/black wahoo colored ones have no teeth marks. Whats with that?
