Default Electric Reel: Shimano Beast Master 9000

Hey guys, Had the privilege to meet Mr. Robby Gant at the Shimano booth last week at ICAST. He gave us a great overview of the new Beast Master 9000 electric reel. It is a heck of a reel, extremely smooth and has a ton of new options. Check it out, Hope you guys enjoy.

Thanks

I'm curious to see if that reel is up to the swordfish daydropping task. I'm a big shimano fan, but can't imagine that reel coming close to the LP S1200 in performance.

Anyone using this reel? I'm curious also how it will compare to the dawia mp3000.

What makes this better than let's say a tancom 1000 or tancom bull 1000?

Line capacity is about the same as the bull ( half as much as the MP), max drag very close. I saw a promotional video where the beast master used to catch a swordfish.

Just wondering if there might be an option to the LP and MP.

I see it as an overpriced option compared to the bull for what it does. Sure might have a few more fancy features and a better drag and components ,but for an extra $1,000 I'll keep my Bull.
