Default Looking for 2-3 for The Biig Fish Tourney, OCMD Sat +Sun

We are thinking about fishing the Big Fish Tournament out of Ocean City, MD. That is an overnight optional tourney, and we would only fish it if the weather looked cooperative for an overnighter. Right now NOAA is calling for 3-4' seas in the canyons Saturday through Sunday and 10-15kts of wind out of the S to SW.

Fishing hours are 7:00am Saturday to 3:00pm Sunday, and registration is until 7:30 Friday, so we would make the call on whether we are going to fish the tourney, based on the weather, by about 6:00 Friday.

The cost, including only basic entry fee, would be $1000 if there are three of us anglers, $775 if there are four and $650 if there are five of us, $525 if there are six of us. The basic entry fee covers competing for the biggest fish, with payout $15,000 to the heaviest fish, 43,500 to second heaviest and $1,500 to third heaviest. There are other calcuttas which are optional and which anglers may wish to join, or not. Here's a link, scroll down and look left for the schedule and regs, etc: http://www.bigfishclassic.com/

The boat is the ONO, a 56' Carolina built sportfish. We are fully equipped for overnighters and for big fish. We have 80W's and 130's and a 130lb class fighting chair. The rules do not specify whether harpoons are permitted, and we will get clarification, we do have a harpoon and several flying gaffs.

We would probably troll for big eyes and or blue marlin during the day into the evening, switch to mako and sword fishing through the night and then go back on the troll for big eyes and or blue marlin.

Regarding the biggest fish $'s, 1st, 2nd and 3rd, I believe blue marlin, mako and swordfish will take them all.

Call or text Captain Jason or Captain Aaron if interested.

Anyone thinking about fishing with these guys is highly recommend it!! Capts Jason and Aaron were both great dudes along with boat owner john. Super accommodating and fun to fish with. I would be all in but I literally just told my brother I'd go out with him on Saturday. Might hit you guys up, think we are headed north towards your way.

Tight lines, Ryan
