Can someone recommend a nice hotel/casino in San Juan? Looking for 4 star and above that has a nice beach and casino. Thanks

Check out ESJ on Isla Verdes, it's about 15 minutes east of Old San Juan. Also, my buddy runs a charter service there. He is getting into the run of blue marlin. They have a tournament coming up at the end of August. PM me if you want his information. Great pricing and good local knowledge.

The Ritz Carlton in Isla Verde is very very nice, as is El San Juan Hotel, also in Isla Verde. Both are less than 5 minutes from the airport. A bit farther, La Concha is also very nice/trendy. Nicest casino is at El San Juan, best beach is at the Ritz, and best nightlife/talent is at La Concha.

Good luck, and feel free to ask any questions. I spent/will spend quite a bit of time there working.

Both spot on! Both my bro-in-laws live there and I will be there next tuesday

Also look at the Marriott San Juan Resort & Stellaris Casino and La Concha Resort

Thanks for the advice guys. After posting I had a buddy call me and recommend the Caribe Hilton so I went ahead and booked a room there. I will be meeting with several captains about doing complete electronic upgrades so this will be a part business part pleasure trip. My only chance of fishing is to send the wife to the spa for the day. If anyone has been there and knows of something I shouldnt miss please let me know.

Ditto to this. FYI the tables at the ritz are not to be trifled with unless you are there to "Play".

I didn't see a single table under $50. Please do not ask me how I did.

Its touristy but you have to go see the fort. Taxi or drive to old San Juan, that whole area is walkable. Find out when a cruise ship IS NOT in town or it will be a mad house.

There's a ridiculously good restaurant in old San Juan too, I can't remember the name, but I'm pretty sure its rated number one on trip advisor. Want to say marigold or mandarin or something. I gave up trying to find truly good dinners when I travel, because I'm spoiled, but this place stacks up.
