Default Underwater (canal) light suggestions

Looking to attract some fish to the dock mainly as entertainment not fishing. Currently have a LED tube attached to the dock edge but it is not bright enough to really get into the water. At my old place I had one with a plastic shield over the bulb but that quickly became encrusted with crap. This house has better water flow but I think an exposed bulb might be better. Looking for low maintenance, reliability, brightness, and longevity. Any brand suggestions?

For a permenant installation I would stay away from LED. The HID or mercury vapor if ran every night get hot enough to keep the growth off the bulb. Also some are now using anti-fouling paint on the bulb housing.

I agree with Flex, I purchased a light from www.greenglowdocklight.com this past summer and love the light its similar to Flex's light but cost $150 less. I gave them a try and have no regrets, got the light the next day after I ordered. Its been in the canal for the past 6 months and haven't had to clean it once. Still as bright as the day I dropped it in the water. Best of luck in your search.

This guy is usually at the Pompano Nautical Flea market, and can save you a few bucks with "show specials" and no shipping costs.

This is mine.
