Default Florida 1 day pass from wife and kids

Will be going to disney world and the wife says I can have 1 day and do what I want to do to escape from all the girls. My questions are where to go fishing, inshore or offshore and who would you recommend to go with? July 10,11, or 12.

Indian River Lagoon or Mosquite Lagoon, on the coast a short drive east of Orlando, with one of the best - Capt. Tom Van Horn http://www.irl-fishing.com/

^^^^ good suggestion.

Tip: Buy a pocket flask and fill it with anything strong if you are going to the Magic Kingdom. The happiest place on earth is dry, its dreadfully hot right now and if I.m gonna pay $100 for a Coke I should be allowed to spike it.

Lagoon or most of the Indian River system. Just over an hour from Disney.
Lots of very good guides - Tom (as mentioned), Jim Ross (FineLine), Willy Le (fly), ...honestly too many good guides around here to list them all....or for adventure call Alex G and do a kayak trip in the no motor zone.
It's summer hot, so get up way before the crack of dawn and drive east so you can be on the water at least 30 minutes before sun shows.
Redfish, trout and the tarpon on in the rivers.
(If you go 'offshore"... all that weekend is the 'snapper season', so you might be able to get a ride if everyone isn't booked) Also, close offshore the kings and tarpon are exciting right now.

X2 on going early - you have no idea how hot it can get fishing in Florida this time of year, especially if there is no wind that day - and load yourself up with sunscreen.

I go to the Dollar store and buy those little 2oz bottles of energy drinks. Dump them, wash them, and fill a couple of um with my rum. Small & handy they are.

Take cans & put um in your small day backback. Then once thirsty, get a large cup of ice. Go into the mens room stall and transfer. A little watery, but do-able

They sell no Pepsi products also, and even the gas stations within walking distance of Disney are owned by Disney and have Coke only. You want MT Dew or DR Pepper you have to bring your own.

go to Epcot! Beer at numerous places

Bank or wade fish: yes. Off 528 (the Beachline) directly from Orlando to Port Canaveral. You can stop on both sides of Banana River (just past exit 52). Best south side just after river. Trout should be there.
Might also try on the Indian north side just after bridge.
OR drive up US1 and try at the county parks on the Indian.
Snook - gonna be tough. They are mostly in the mangroves. Maybe at Kars Park (not sure if you need a pass to get in). Just off US 3 north of 528 a couple miles.
OR go to Port Canaveral, turn back west go to park near small ramp (just east of locks). There are flounder in there now, also ladyfish and who knows.

BUT if I had a day off and wanted to catch fish, I would call a guide.
