How Leaky are the Hip Roof Tackle Boxes??

You know the big tackle boxes with a two part lid that opens in the center and the trays pull out in two directions; does it keep your stuff dry?

My box stays in the boat a lot and it rains here all the time, heavy rain, and the little channel along the seam where the two parts of the lid meet looks entirely inadequate to me. Other than that I like them and I need a bigger box so some experienced input would be appreciated. Should I worry about my tackle taking a bath if I buy one?

I've got what I think is the same box and I give it a light rinse with a garden hose after fishing and haven't had any water get in yet. Same goes for spray when in the boat. So far, so good after about 8 years with the same one. Mine's a big Plano w/2 cup holders molded into the top. Corners are rounded a bit. No model number that I could see.
