Default Power Pole Questions!!!

Before I start, I know there are Power Pole threads on here, but I didn't see what I was wondering about. Here we go, I have an 8 ft Power Pole and love it, and have been considering getting the sleeve for it to keep people from getting fiberglass splinters, Q#1 has anyone installed one or tried one? I was wondering because I've never even seen one before and I'm wondering how they hold up and if my drift paddle will still fit over it. Q#2 If you have a drift paddle what position do you have it in when you run the boat? I'd assume to either side so it is not in the wind acting like a sail but I've broken the top mounting brackets for it THREE TIMES now and my boat isn't that fast, are the mounts just that bad? It's annoying because they don't sell parts individually online so I have to keep calling them and going through everything. Lastly, Q#3 do the graphic wraps hold up pretty well? I've never seen one of those either, and they are an order only item from what I've gathered from the distributors I've called. and all tho I'm leaving this one white I was looking at wraps and graphics for my next boat. Thanks in advance for any advice!

I have had the sleeve on mine for over a year. It has held up great and looks good. Mine says silent, strong, secure on it . I like it very much. I do not have a paddle or wrap on mine. I figured I would wrap mine when the paint starts to fail.

It's basically heat shrink right? Does it add very much diameter or is it pretty thin? Thanks

I've also had my sleeve on for over a year....best move I made, I always grabbed it and paid the price. It isn't that thick, so it doesn't add much to the diameter.

Okay, so I'm signing up for that. Thanks for the input guys! It's mostly so I can stop having to tell people not to touch it, all though a little bit ago I was fishing a tarpon tournament and reached back there to try and save a thready from getting to freedom, ran the entire inside of my arm over the glass lol. just need someone to chime in on how to make my paddle mounts last.

Yes. it's heat shrink. Very easy to install using a heat gun.
Bottom tip is wearing a little because of the oyster bars in my area.
No issue with it's thickness.

Don't have the paddle, do love not picking fiberglass out of my hands.

JL Marine ( Power Pole ) has great customer service, too.

Heres my thoughts on boat wraps aka decal dummies.
It puts a target on you & your honey holes. .... ICM

I made the mistake of grabbing one of these at a show
one time Big Mistake.Had no clue they would put that
much fiberglass in your hand.
