Los Suenos would be your best bet if you are bringing your wife and want to do fishing. Plenty of other things to duo as we'll.

Winter and early spring would be the best time, from what I remember being told the rainy season starts end of spring and summer

Call Capt Mike Alligood. He's the man. Has a condo for rent in Los Suenos and one of
the best charter boats there. I just got back yesterday from the most unreal trip ever

La Mariposa in Manuel Antonio - something for the wife:

Nice big fish we got yesterday, ended up with 15 sailfish on our 30 foot gamefisherman:

Best time to fish here is from November to April for sailfish, Marlin are around all year and so are the Mahi. Roosterfish are also pretty good usually. Check out this nice roosterfish from this week:

thanks for the recommendation Solovia,
I you are interested in the Los Suenos area I have deals that you will not be able to beat on condos and world class fishing charters on my boat 2013 Offshore World Championship winning boat EPIC which I run myself

I usually try to post regular reports here but have just been too busy write reports and to upload pics

But here are just some of pics from when Solovia and his friends fished with me 2 days inshore, with them hooking all their own fish, we did catch several more fish than this ,
I forget the actually count- but several cuberas, a few mullet snapper, some AJ's, yellow snappers, jack crevalles, a horsey trevally, a couple nice Mahi, a stud colorado snapper, skipjacks, true bonitos and probably some other stuff i forget. It was a really good time, and we released most everything, maybe kept the mahi, and 2 or 3 cuberas out of probably at least 8 or 10 nice ones we caught in the 2 days

we also went offshore one day and they caught 7 sails (hooking all the fish themselves) and missed a swordfish that we baited on the surface with a dead bonito (swords are extremely rare to see here) it was a little slow that day for what we have been seeing offshore all season

we were supposed to fish for roosters one day but they had took so much fun with the snappers they wanted to go again

I will post some condo pics in another post we are getting in low season starting late april so lodging prices come down a bit from high season rates

I would like to say for the record, myself and Rocky hooked our fish, but I can't
Say the same for the other two Googans I had with me...

Hands down Los Suenos is always my first choice.( look at lsrm.com) We used Capt. Mike on the Epic for over 10 trips this year always having a great time . He is one of the best bottom / rooster guys at Los Suenos and won a major billfish tournament fishing against
Some of the best biggest and best tournament boats in Costa Rica. Not sure when you want to go but reach out asap as Mike books up fast he can also help with lodging, transportation
From the airport and anything else you need

I had a blast with Capt John in Quepos off shore and inshore with his smaller boat. Big sails and big roosterfish! Manuel Antonio was a nice area and we also spent a little time at the volcano.

I'm heading to Quepos the 16th of this month, but right now don't know whether or not I"ll have time to fish. I'm thinking about seeing if any charter's have a last minute opening for two when I get there. I"ll report back when I get home.
