Could anyone recommend some good fishing locations around Chincoteague. I will be visiting my sister this summer and would like to take her fishing. Thanks.

Early in the season the area around 4 Mouths is a good place. Also try Queen Sound both in the channel South of the bridge and the flats north of hte bridge. I hear they are catching some flounder around marker 2A. My son and I will be making our first trip of the season next weekend. I'll post our results.

Fished 4 mouths two weekends ago and got into great Flounder. Go right at daylight and drift fish. Gargotha and Queen sound are good also. Hang out at Chincoteague Inn in evenings and you can learn a lot about the fishing in area. Ask for Gill or Chris McDonald, they have been fishing that area since Mobey Dick was a minnow. Tell them Paul sent you. Two of my friends have boats slipped right next to Chico Inn. We are going out this weekend for Mako and whatever we may find. Tuna not happening for another couple weeks. Let me know when you are coming down and maybe we can get together. I have access to two great flounder boats and depending on who is fishing a specific weekend maybe get you out for some Tuna. Does your sister live on Chincoteague? We stay at Tom's Cove when we are there. If you are on water yell for Silent Sam or Makoman238.

I appreciate it Makoman! My wife and I are planning on being up there around the third weekend in June. My sister will be in Chincoteague for the summer doing research on horseshoe crabs. (Seriously ) I would love to try for tuna if we could work it out. Good luck this weekend! Let me know how you do.
