Default Hispanic Mackerals at the Cape

Just got back from a few days at Cape Lookout and the Spanish and Blues are going bonkers. I know some of you offshore guys don't care but you may want to catch some bait for the Big Rock next week. We caught em in the hook, trolling off the point at the #4 bouy, on the rock jetty, at the gun mounts, all the way out to the West bouy, and some on the East side. Mostly hitting 00 Clarks on handlines but they were also hitting #1's on the surface as well as a mackeral tree rigs.

We only kept Blues in the 1.5 to 2.5 lb range and Spanish over 18" and still filled up the cooler. I think we have fish down to about $25 per pound now.
