Do any of you know of websites having to do with S. Carolina coastal fishing that may tell what is biting and when?

I am fairly new to saltwater fishing. I am wanting to get an idea of what to use for certain fish, at what times certain fish can be caught, etc.

Tides,
I dont know about a south carolina report, but capt judy isnt too far from you (savannah). she has pretty good reports both insore and offshore. i dont know what her website is, but if you go to www.sstcharts.com you will find a link to her reports. she runs a pretty big charter operation out of savannah and always knows whats going on. she is also pretty good about keeping the info current. you wont get any fishing spots from here, but you will learn whats biting and what they are eating as its not too far away from you.

Thanks. I'll take a peek since Savannah is only about 20 minutes away by boat.

Off-topic...I know a lot of people who visit St. Simons Island on weekends. What could be attracting them?

Tides,

St. Simons is what Hilton Head was 20 years ago. We have a McDonalds, a KFC and a Berger King. Its just not that developed down here yet. We only have four buildings over four stories tall. And the north half of the island is pretty much woods still. Its getting developed pretty fast, but its still a quiet little island still, one way on, one way off. We have the best tarpon fishing oustide of Florida, great redfishing, trippletail, good trout, etc. And there are tons of good golf courses here, Sea Island (playground of the filty rich) where they played the Walkers Cup for example. Its a great little spot.

disclaimer----if you are a developer, this post is compleately false. St simons island is a toxic waste dump.

Try charlestonfishing.com
There are a couple of guys from Beaufort that are regular posters.
