Reef donkeys, reds and kings!! Still going to be a great weekend!! 2 foot or less out there on Sunday.... I guess I'm going to have to load up all my rods.... lol Hope I get to spend as much time fishing as I do re-rigging lines.

And then of course for those GULF anglers in MONROE County who think the season opens April 1 based upon a well meaning THT post will be enjoying visits from the FWC officers. IMHO posting anything about fishing regulations in Fl on THT might not be the right thing to do as these bureaucrats change regulations on a whim seemingly daily.

Gulf FEDERAL grouper, not including gags, opens April 1st. On Sunday, when I wake up at the Fort in the Dry Tortugas, I will be running to federal waters in the gulf to take blacks and reds.

May 1st is when everything else opens for us here in Monroe, excluding gags.

Good point. Bottom line though is everyone is responsible for knowing their local regs. I check em regularly just to make sure Im not keeping something they decided to close.

The FWC site and their regulation wording can be really confusing sometimes. I just updated my original post....again. lol
