Default Fish ID help

We caught this fish in 2000 feet of water in the Bahamas. I have never seen one like it before and no one that we have asked locally could give a reasonable ID. Does anybody KNOW what this fish is?

Definitely an Alfonsino, world record just recently set up here in Va for one.

Definitely an Alfonsino. Mine looks atleast as big as his, maybe bigger.

Yours, according to that cooler, is about 26 inches long??? YOU have the world record of whatever that thing is.

HAD the world record, until it hit the fillet knife. So...how does a world record fish taste?
