Default blue fin tuna using spinning gear

last year crushed the blue fins on spinning gear. Do you guys target them and whats your choice of tackle?????

the word on the street is the tuna will be quite large this year, how do you plan on fishing for them??

Same way I have been. Adjust to what I see. The fish around the cape are going to be a yr older that's 7-10" gain if they are the in fact from the class that has returned every year since 05. Last yr we saw fish from many age classes so you really cannot tell till August for certain. The fish off of RI are much more manageable usually under the 80# mark.
Why chase them when you can chase fish you can keep?? With the current regs if the same age class returns I won't be out there very much. Makes little sense to chase fish just to tag n brag to people who don't know or understand the fishery

Damn, thats some serious fish to knock over in that time.
Quality gear makes all the difference. Thats what I tell my wife everytime I buy something new..................
