Default New downriggers????

I am going to be purchasing 2 Cannon electric downriggers. I am going to be using them for offshore saltwater fishing. What series do I get? the tournament series, the digi troll, or the magnums. What is the difference between them?

I went with a pair of Mag 10's. I didn't need the stainless spool on the Tournament series since I don't think I will be using spectra line. Digi Troll seemed like a steep cost for a lot of features I wasn't going to use. It does have a nice feature that it allows you to programs depths that the weight will drop to instead of holding the switch.

They are all great units but have some different features. Heres a like that shows the whole line up. If you go to the Descriptions Tab, It will list them all for you to comapre. It al depends on what you want out of your downriggers.

If you ever crack one of your composite spools, you will understand why they make the stainless spools. I have used both and currently have a manual tournament series and an electric tournament series. I would definitely recommend the tournament series if you use your downriggers frequently.
