Years ago I killed a bunch of hammers at the boat with a 12ga. bangstick. In that era (early seventies) every one was killed for the taxidermist... I'm glad that sort of stuff isn't done anymore. I can tell you that even a small seven footer is a real handful at the boat. Next time I'll bet that guide will keep his pushpole clear of anything that could crunch it up against the gunnel.... I will occasionally use one of my poles to prod a 'gator away from my skiff but I'm very aware of how easily a big animal could break a $300 to $500 pole.

That looks like a huge bonefish. I can't help wondering though.............did he ultimately land the fish? That IS the most important thing isn't it?
