Default BBL Rum Cay / San Sal / Crooked Island Candy

Curious to see how well these work.

Anyone nailing them without trolling weights?

For the sake of it, how fast have you had more strikes? As of note, more interested in quantity opposed to "the one"

I use Rum Cay and San Sal, regularly. I've had great success with 40+lbs. Wahoo trolling them between 10-14 kts.

Do you use a double or single hook set ? I just rigged a Rum Cay black and purple with a single 9/0 on cable but haven't pulled it yet.

I use a single 10/0 and AFW 480# multstrand wire. I pull seven (7) in my spread: 2 - Mini 1656 Angle on the outriggers; 2 - Rum Cay Candies with 36oz and 48oz weights flat; 1 Rum Cay Candy shotgun, and, 2 - San Sal Candies mid and prop wash.

no weights, pulled them up to 14kts. Track fine. Throw a hellofa tail at 14kts when they suface.

Great lure, 80% of the time have one in the spread. SG or LR.
