May is too early. Maybe mid-June at the earliest.

This past summer, I caught my first spot on 6/11 in the Choptank. I got some intel from a buddy who had caught them there a few days prior.

its a small baitfish. pretty hardy, everything eats them, easy to catch(in season).

There are a few places that sell them around the Northern neck. Try posting on tidal fish. You will have a lot of responses.

There's a place in absecon that sells them. They're pretty easy to catch. You could bag 100 out easy in a day or two and it beats the 1.50-3 bucks a pop you'll spend. Look at bassbarn . Com for tons of info.
