Default Will Taco outriggers work with Rupp Top Gun mounts?

Working on a buddies '08 Contender 31T with 1.5" Rupp Top Gun outrigger mounts. The boat came with 15' rigid outrigger poles. We are wanting to swap to 18' Taco retractable poles. The question is will the Taco poles work correctly in the Rupp mounts? I have found conflicting info on two different websites. It seems as though there may be a slight diameter difference from different manufacturers even though they are all labeled as 1.5". Has anybody used this combination of outriggers and mounts and can verify? Thanks.

They are not an exact fit. I know this from trying the reverse where the Rupp 1.5" poles were slightly too big for Taco 1.5" holders. The Taco poles will be sloppy in the Rupp holders. Maybe you could have them sleeved?

I did the exact same thing on a 2005 Cntr 31 with Rupps. I went with 18' Taco poles and although they are slightly loose they work fine. I drilled thru them and inserted 1/4" quick release pins.

Make sure you use some type of corrosion X on those outriggers. They tend to tarnish up and rust by the release pins.

Got Top Gun based on my Glacier Bay and using Taco telescopic without much effort. The outriggers I got had a plastic sleeve on the bottom that made them too big for the bases. I cut them off and they are a perfect fit.

I wrapped electrical tape around the taco base until they fit snug, and 1/4" thru bolted them.
