Fished with a guide named darrin for bone and mangrove snapper on his flats boat two years in a row with great results, and Qwue for reef and off shore fishing on a 30' grady CC. Both were great guides and really worked to keep us on the fish and happy. Let me know if you want #'s and i will dig them up.

Call Carol at Turtle Cove Marina --- She will know who you should get in touch with. Bob at Scooter Bob's car rental will know as well.

Catch the Wave Charters. The owners name is Erin and she is very nice.

I've fished with them twice and was very, very pleased. The put us on nice fish both trips and provided wonderful meals, service, etc....

Expensive.....very expensive.

Full day bones $800 plus tip. Hammered them on the fly and literally did not see another boat all day....no shit....so very worth it.

I don't really fish offshore much, but we did charter a private trip which included the following.

Morning - Pick up at hotel and take to marina. Cruise out about a half hour and bottom fish. Killed it again, strawbery grouper, trigger fish, etc.

Moved a little closer to shore and dove for conch. Kept enough for lunch, cleaned the mornings catch and our guide set up a grill on a private beach. We feasted on fresh fish (two hours old), conch salad, bbq chicken, beer and the list goes on and on.....

We then spent the afternoon snorkeling over different reefs and just chilling out. At the end of the day the guide beached the boat in front of the hotel and dropped us off.

It was without a doubt the best trip we have ever been on.

$1200 not including tip.

This was a couple of years ago, so I have no idea what it might cost today.

Look up Arthur Dean at Silver Deep charters, you can expect 1000-2000 plus tip for a full day offshore.

Silver Deep Charters were recently featured in either Saltwater Sportsman or Sport Fishing (can't remember which one). I was there in March and the rates were $600 for a half day of sight fishing on the flats or $750 for a half day blind casting in a slightly larger cc.
