Default good service, Cannon downriggers

Second time I've had occasion to praise the service from Cannon. Actually I think they're really Computrol, Inc., but no matter....

I have a pair of the low-profile swivel bases. They're about 11 years old, and don't turn easily at all. Some of
the hardware is beginning to rust. Since they're $85each, to replace, I emailed Cannon and asked if they had a
refurbishing plan -- I was fully expecting and willing to pay a charge.

I was instructed to mail 'em in with contact info: a week and a half later, by 2-day air, was a box
on my doorstep. The bases were overhauled, with some parts brand-new, cleaned, and work perfectly.

Thanks for taking the time to post that. I had a pair of Canon electrics on my last boat and I'm getting a couple of the Canon manual uni-trolls for the new boat - always good to hear of positive 'customer service' support.

I also have only praise for their service end.....A counter went bad last fall and was reading the wrong depth, so I emailed them this Winter to find out how to get a new one. I received an email asking for my mailing address so they could mail me a new one...I emailed back and xplained I wanted 2 because the other rigger was bought at the same time and didnt want to take a chance on it going this Summer...She wrote back no problem and put 2 in the mail to me,,,,no charge.....
