FISHIN Made the first trip with the new boat yesterday. Went up the hudson around the tappen zee for the afternoon. The water is still alittle cold found up to 44.5 at times buddy hit about 8 shorts on bloods and i got 1 at 10# on herring chunks. So overall a great first trip, no problems and a few fish over the rails. Taking my wife up tomorrow for another shot.

We are not missing anything good on Jeffries, fishing or weather.

I'm shooting for 4/24 weather permitting.

Thats about when the groundfish should turn on. I'm still trying to eat all the Haddock I got in November.

4/24 HUH? Is that the international groundfish turn on day? Maybe someone should tell the cod they better be getting ready, I've been fishing all winter and it has been slooow, but hopefully it will turn on soon with the arrival of some much needed baitfish!
