Default which braid??? power pro or stealth??

Who has tried the different braids and can give opinions as to which one is the best(mainly in handling, staying round and not digging in the spool) I have used standard spiderwire for some time, but am going to change to one of the newer lines that are suppose to stay round and not dig as bad. The line will be in the 30-50 lb test range and be used for reds, sheepshead, flounder catfish ect. spinning and baitcasting.

power pro
spiderwire stealth
stren superbraid
fireline

thanks

i've never used stealth but ive been using power pro for the last few years and its great line. I'm thinking of spooling a couple of reels up with the stealth so i can compare. i cant wait to see what everyone else says.

Last year I used 65# power pro for my heavy duty spin outfit. I hated it! I used it for casting and it knotted up all the time. It would be great for trolling or bottom fishing.

This year I went to Stren Superbraid on all reels. I'll let you know how well it works. fwiw- I took the Power Pro and spooled my cod rig with it. It will work excellent for that!

This year I spooled a Penn 4300 and a Penn 4400 with Power Pro 20 for river fishing/inshore and it has done really well. I have not experienced the wind knots that others speak of, yet. Toughest thing is getting the uni to uni right where connecting to fluoro leader. Not sure how much line I put on these reels, but great capacity on these spinners isn't as important as the offshore setups.

Try using the Albright to attach you mono leader, it works best!

Fortunately no problems with the Albright when using a fluoro or mono leader in much larger diameter but I have always been told to uni/uni when using like diameters.
