I am going to try to go fishing in Beaufort this weekend. Are there any good spots to try my luck on specs and flounder? I will be putting in at the public launch in Beaufort.

There are many spots. We will be there as well, give us a shout.
The Cape Lookout Rock Jetty is well know for good fishing, the dead tree hole may be holding some trout or albacore.
The Coast Guard Station is another good spot to drift for trout and flounder along with the inlet itself.

I will look for you out there. I can not go to dead tree hole because I am only going to be in a 14 john boat. I will be putting in near radio island. I went with a friend to dead tree 2 weeks ago and got nothing, but alot can change in 2 weeks for sure. So I will be stuck inshore this Saturday. If I can get some fish I won't feel so bad.

Be sure to try the Coat Guard Station then, and also around Radio Island up towards Old Towne Yacht Club.
