Default Blackfish

Finally good weather on the weekend, seems when im at work the wind and seas are calm, its just the way weather patterns have been lately.Went out to one of my honey holes, about 14 miles off the coast of Chas,SC anchored in 65ft of water, using squid
double hook rigs,25lb test and 5oz sinkers. We caught 2 blackfish just about every drop, the average size was around 2lbs.Fished for about 1.5 hours, decided we had enough,we kept 20 between the two of us,also caught alot sharks, they are a pain in the butt to get off the hook.Cant wait untill the water is in the 70's.
Tight lines to all.

Good report. Glad to hear that somebody got out and got 'em. Consistent doubles on 2 Lb Seabass is good fishin' in my book.

that's nice fishing you have down there. this time of year we're fishing the sea bass 60 miles plus from home. one of the local captains goes down to myrtle beach each winter and fishes with a guy for a few weeks and really enjoys it.

come the 15th of may we'll have the same kind of fishing you have now within 15 miles of the beach...looking forward to it!
