767 Sword

Hunter landed a monster sword yesterday 767 and a pending FL state record I believe. I’m sure Lance and Becky are proud parents. Young guns and young guns too catch some fish that’s for sure.

Depends on the state. Alot of the times it being on a hook and line from a rod and reel is the only requirement. When you start talking IGFA records you start getting into the technicalities like the rod never touching the gunwale, the hand off from mate to angler (if there is one) being done a specific way, the fight being done 100% by human power, only specific terminal tackle used, etc. Even landing the fish would need to be done in a specific way.

Some of these reels are ridiculous. It's a winch on a rod and you push a button. Why can't commercial guys get same records? Anyways, it's an awesome fish.
