Default Siegler Reels

Just picked up a couple Siegler LG reels for live bait fishing off NC, anyone have any experience with them?

Nice nice reels. I have abused them. Wes will treat your right if you should need anything. And no I haven’t needed service on them.

Great reels
I have an SG and an LG
Stopping power comparable to some twin drag reels
That little SG has caught more cod and bass then I can count

My only complaint is the clicker
It's not loud and where it is positioned, I keep engaging it while I'm fighting a fish

Still, it's my go to reel

Great company and service according to friends that own them. Even have a neighbors young son that did small jobs until he could afford one. Started in a small town in Va on the bay and now located in Va Beach. I hope to own a couple one day.

Awesome reels that are flat out some of the best open reels I’ve fished outside of two speed Internationals.

Company started out has Release reels and had to change the name to Truth Reels and now Siegler. I have 4 small game reels that I use for drum fishing and trophy Cat Fishing. I have never had a problem. I took a tour of the factory and they built one in front of me. You know i had to buy it. Everyone was super cool and put up with me for a couple hours talking about bearings, grease, and how they are made. The early ones I have Made in Virginia on the side plate. Now is has made in USA.

I have 2 Truths, and 2 Releases. I love them. My 2 truths are right hand, and the 2 Release are left hand as both my daughters are left handed. I have mine paired with Trevala jogging rods and use them for bottom fishing.

Great people, great product, hands down. They are friends so they naturally will get a favorable review from me. With that being said I have 2 original SG release, 2 LG release, 4 truth LGs, 4 siegler LGs, and 2 siegler SGNs. I have beat the crap out o them since day one and they have caught hundreds of fish from cats to stripers, Cobia, Marlin, wahoo, and small tuna. Outside of negligence on my part all I've ever needed was cleaning and some drag washers.

I own 4 SG's. Use them in Venice. I have caught a variety of species on them. They have never let me down. The SG is very light and strong. Anyone that fishes on my boat, wants to fish the SG due to the weight and drag strength. Cannot say enough good things about them.
