Put our first sword in the boat Saturday. Very impressed with the reel, plenty of power, smooth drag, would pull up the 10lb weight in high with no problem. James is great to deal with too.

Just used mine first time. Stupid question. Are u just loosening star drag to drop.. with sword weight free spoiling seemed like a bad idea.

when you drop, the motor engages just slightly to slow and keep tension on the spool.
