How many rod/reel combos do you typically take with you offshore?
I now have 12 that will go with me on every trip.

4 tld 25's for trolling. just getting started on trolling.
4 Big spinners for bottom fishing/jigging.
4 smaller spinners for pitching to dolphin/weed lines.

I think you have it covered.
I sometimes take a formal outfit in case a dance breaks out.

You only need one to mount your dive flag on.

Not saying more rods - baits in the water equal more bites but my normal trolling spread is 15 rods - baits less if it's rough or scattered grass or small or inexperienced crew. We catch our share of fish & usually get a hook in at least one billfish per trip. Absolutely not necessary it's just what I like to do & o yea it's definitely a lot of work

I take 5 50's, 2 large spinners, and 2 small spinners. I just purchased two Avet HX's with wind on leaders to switch from trolling, remove the wind on and deep drop. I have never deep dropped so hopefully this works. I surely hope that I'm able to remove the cats paw in a timely manner so that I can reuse the leader.

12 trolling/chunking set ups from 12 to 50W, 4 mahi spinners and 2 - 4 deep drop manual and an electric on a bent butt for swords. So, that's 18 - 20.

What size reels/rods do you use for your free line?
What do you typically catch on them?
