Default Newbie ? Dorado/Dolphin Fish best location

My husband really wants to fish for Dorado/Dolphin Fish and I would like to go ST Thomas/St John to snorkel while he was fishing. However if going to Florida Keys would be a better choice, I would be open to that. If there is a better location that you suggest, I would appreciate that too! It's a surprise trip I am planning, so I can't get his input. Thanks for any help/suggestions!

Do the spring in the Virgin Islands. Keys is great but a ton of small fish and hasn’t been as good the last few years. Just my 2 cents.

They migrate....so depends on time of year and such...Summer from Charleston to NC is pretty good...big fish are more common.

We have great dolphin fishing down here in the USVI. We get them trolling and live baiting with spinning gear on both the North and South Drops depending on the time of year. We can also set you up with some snorkeling and island hopping as well. Shoot me a message if you have any more questions.
