I may have heard it wrong but I thought he called the wahoo a king mack. If so, that explains it cause no one handles a hoo like that!!

He does say "king mackerel" but that's a wahoo 100%. Wahoo get their heads cratered in before I get near the teeth. This guy almost learned that the hard way.

Doesn't have to close his mouth to slice you.

Yeah of course he did, and it's the same guy who called the scamp a jewfish in another thread. It's just his MO, a 'blind' so to speak.

As for handling a hoo like that well I guess it's another part of his schtick. I mean what bad could come from it? Maybe next time he can demonstrate the tool-less lip grab??

Kingfish got my hand . I didn't feel it , I was just was standing there wondering where all the blood on the deck was coming from and ended up with 6 stitches , yep I had the best story in the ER that day . Really just a small king got me when I took my eyes off it while reaching around someone unhooking a buddy's fish . I had those long shaft dehookers and I figure after I dehooked it and I was turning away it kicked and rode the shaft up to my first knuckle laying it open to the bone , never felt a thing and really didn't hurt till much later . Lots of blood though . That was to be the last fish of the day also . 11 am Sunday morn and had limit of Dolphin , Blackfin Tuna and was just picking up a couple Kings for some folk that weren't there .
