Default If you could have 24 hours anywhere in the USA to fish from YOUR boat......

So....let's have your #1 dream fishing location in the USA that can be fished in a single day by your personal rig. Don't worry about logistics of getting your boat to the marina/ramp....let's pretend transporting your boat to the marina of your choice....anywhere in the USA......is not an issue as long as it is a public marina/ramp that anyone here could use.

Also....keep the time from dock to dock UNDER 24 hrs....which includes the running time. So to be perfectly clear the 24 hour clock starts when you leave the dock and you will have had to be back at the dock, ready to brag about catch, when the clock stops 24 hours later. The reason I am limiting it to 24 hrs is so it would eliminate these areas only reached by "long range" boats that take more than one day to fish and are out of reach of normal CC's.

Also...let's limit the speed of your boat to 50 mph. This way a good amount of CC's that are owned here can be considered in this dream discussion. Yes...I know some have boats that run 80 plus and you can still participate but simply have to throttle back. And for those that will not run that fast....you still get a fair shake.

Finally.....you can switch up targeted species during the 24 hrs and enjoy pulling on pelagic's, bottom dwellers and inshore fish in a single 24 hour period or you can spend the entire time targeting a longer range fish if you would rather try your luck at a dream fish. IOW...you can return to the starting dock as many times as you would like but your boat must be tied off for good....24 hours from your first departure.

Anyway, what would be your dream fishing area that can be fished from your boat? And please explain to us your reasoning? What turns you on when it comes to fishing? I don't care if you simply enjoy pulling on Crappie all day and night as long as it's your personal favorite.

Thanks for playing

Do places closed to boat fishing count?

I Would love to drift some live eels through CCC and See what monster stripers are sitting on the bottom. I bet there are some 60 plus cows that have spooled a few shore anglers.

For us non ballers Boynton is hard to beat. Not many places I’ve been too that you can catch wahoo, sails and tarpon in the same week from an 18’ boat on the same $60 bucks in fuel.

I wish they would let me jig codfish, wherever and whenever I wanted.
for most of the reasons you mention.
I did it for most of my life, and I was very good at it. I miss it.

Since we are talking ifs and buts, I'd fish anywhere in the world with my Pops just one more time.

Bonus points if my Pops could meet my 2 year old son and fish with his grandson he never met for just one day.

Just one day....anywhere. I'd seriously cut a finger off with a dull butter knife for just one more day.

Same for me. I would go anywhere, but I would try to talk him into Islamorada.

I second Venice LA.
From what I've read on THT (which is Gospel), it sounds like fishing Heaven!
