Default Highest speed for diving plugs

What is the highest speed you have been able to run a diving plug and which one was it? Want to find one that will run at 12 knots or so for wahoo.

Thanks!

thank you. that’s what I’m running now, just wanted to see if there’s a good option for lipped diving plugs to mix it up a little.

We ran Braid Maruaders a good bit. Purple always seemed to work for wahoo.

Doubt it, I've never had a lipped plug make it speed.

I've never had any luck pulling plugs much above 8 or 9 kts. At that speed they are Barracuda magnets.

You're not going to find a diving plug that will run faster than 8-9 kts.

Just an impossibility at this point. One day they might come up with something.

I have run the yozuri hydro magnums at 12 without a problem but the have to be a clean water. 65lb braid to about 10' of 80lb mono. Heavier wire cable they can't run as fast. I think they claim to 15 on the box.

The Russelure deep diver with the 4x hooks has been the truest running diver I’ve pulled. I believe that is your best bet
