Default West Australian video

Just posted my new Youtube video. This is from our recent extended trip, all self-sufficient camping on a remote stretch of the WA coast, soiuth of Exmouth. We do this annually in winter. Some good sailfish action, trolling, deep drop, drone footage of the area, up close with humpbacks. Enjoy.

Looks like a great trip. Where were you anchored each night?

Winderabandi Point. We have been doing this every year for a long time, still trying to make it a really extended stay, haven't managed more than 6 weeks yet. Only 3 and a half weeks this year, trying to make it 2 months next year,

Is that south of Coral Bay?

Half way between Coral Bay and Exmouth, south of Yardie Creek.

Cool. I stopped a night at Norwegian Bay earlier this year on the way up to Exmouth. Beautiful spot.

Really? I never steal people's IP or infringe copyright, so I use the free music sites under Creative Commons agreements for soundtracks. My language on the boat often isn't fit for broadcast, I'm told.

ozmako, are you in Exmouth? or further north? We've been going to Winderabandi since 1987, when we found it trekking up the coast from Coral Bay in the dual-cab hilux, towing a box trailer with a 12ft dinghy on top , couple of small kids on the back. Went back every year until 2000(?), boats getting bigger, then had some years off-life got in the way, as it does. Pressure from the family grew, until I bought another trailer boat , 4wd ute, and went back in 2009. Been there every year since. The long-termers up there, those who are retired and can stay for 3 months at a time, now regard me as one of the "originals"

I'm working on a separate video purely on sailfish from this year, should have it finished in a day or two.
