Default Diawa Saltiga. Who knows about reels?

I have a Diawa Saltiga lever drag 2 speed reel that isn't even a year old. For the second time now, after a day of fishing I go to oil and put it away and find the even in strike the line free spools. This is after a day of fishing where the reel worked perfectly and the drag has not been touched before during or after the trip. I pulled the lever all the way to free spool to make sure the drag hadn't been loosened magically. I tightened the drag some and tried to put it back to strike which it will now not do. No matter how loose or tight I adjust the drag the drag level will not move up to strike. Again this has happened twice and the reel is less than 6 moths old. The first time I took it to the local shop since I don't have time to send it to Diawa and wait especially after talking to the less than help tech support guy, so I took it to my local shop and had them open it up. They called and said it was fixed and something was out of place. I will be calling them on the issue as well but has anyone else had this type of issue. These are supposed to be good reels but I may be going another direction in the future.

Years ago I switched from Shimano TLD 15’s to Daiwa Saltiga’s and have been VERY happy. I was having issues with the TLD’s but the Daiwa’s have been flawless. I don’t have a dog in the fight just my experience. I hope you get things figured out.
