I also have this I could sub in.
Or maybe put on a spinner somewhere in the mix.

Get this in the spread, WWB. Might I suggest a jet head into mix, a $7 cheap one is fine, smaller than bigger.

Pull a Billy Bait mini turbo slammer off one of your riggers , run it naked , take the bait spring off of it . This lure will catch anything that swims , I prefer the blue/silver ones

I’ll add on to the questions as another noob.

Aside from the “what” to troll, my question is still the “where.” When there’s no birds, no bait working, and no obvious temp or color change....what’s the plan?

Bottom structure? Natural relief?

Been getting absolutely akunked and im running out of ideas of where to fish. Haven’t seen a weedline since May and I couldn’t find a wahoo right now if it were already in the boat drinking my beer.

I trolled around a little bit Saturday morning before heading to the bottom for Red Snapper.
No weed line or birds anywhere. I did find a bunch of flying fish and trolled in the direction they were heading. Had one hit on my Artificial Bally cutting it in half. Gave up and went bottom fishing.

Heading out this week again, starting over again. I feel like I have the right gear in the water, but also feel like I’m going to the wrong places. A bait cut in half would be a major improvement.

This was the first half of my last trip out, near the Ozark wreck. The bottom contours looked excellent, but the two yellow waypoints were quite literally the only signs of life I saw all day. One small bait ball and another that might have been good bottom to drop on. Seems like this type of natural bottom relief would hold something - is this grade still too shallow to be considered a “drop” or “ledge” that would hold fish? Are there just bananas hidden on my boat somewhere by ISIS?
