Default Hal-lock halyards

I have a pair of triple hal-locks halyards, from a previous boat. I’m now using the triples which are only rigged with doubles, based on the design of my current outriggers. Instead of purchasing new double hal-locks and completely re-rigging, is there a way to remove one of the locks in the triple to make it a double?

I'll follow up with..... Why? Couldn't you just use the 2 outside pulleys and call it a day?

That is a good question and is currently what I’m doing but I was just curious if I could easily remove one pulley.

Thanks

It's pretty easy. You can remove the center pulley. that way the spacing for the screw will still be the same. If you remove one of the outside pulleys, your screw will be able to slide back and forth a little.

I appreciate the response. I am currently using the outside pulleys and I did see the screw that appearsto be removable, but wanted to hear from someone else that was more knowledgeable about them.

Thank you!

Hal-Locks suck. Use a longline clip and you'll never look back
